The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has
gathered to vote on a resolution submitted by Egypt, New Zealand and Spain,
calling for an immediate seven-day ceasefire in the city. Russian Foreign
Minister Sergey Lavrov described the draft resolution as “counterproductive”
and stands against the proposal for Aleppo.
